Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and dependable Housekeeping Manager on Duty to join the Equinox team at our upscale Sports Club San Francisco location. This role is ideal for someone looking to make a meaningful impact in a thriving and evolving organization.
The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the club and exercise equipment. The Maintenance MOD plays a key role in supervising the maintenance team and assisting the Housekeeping Manager and the management team.
Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct comprehensive training for all new and existing staff following Equinox standards.
- Report any operational issues to the maintenance manager promptly.
- Support the maintenance manager in various club-related special projects (such as floor cleaning, high dusting, advanced equipment repairs, etc.)
- Regularly inspect and maintain all cleaning equipment used by club staff (e.g., mop pads, buckets, floor scrubbing machines, etc.)
- Check and repair all club equipment daily (including cardio/strength equipment, cardio theater system, climate control, music systems, etc.)
- Possess thorough knowledge of all cleaning supplies and recommended chemicals.
- Manage inventory, restocking, and replacement of all maintenance supplies (lighting, locker room necessities, laundry items, cleaning chemicals, towels, etc.)
- Execute any other assigned projects and duties.
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should meet the following minimum requirements and qualifications:
- Familiarity with maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
- Experience working with cleaning products.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to handle athletic equipment maintenance (as required).
- Proficiency in using hand tools and cleaning equipment.
- Team player with excellent communication abilities to interact effectively with the Maintenance Manager.
- Outstanding customer service aptitude.
