MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day maintenance of our fixed route bus operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing maintenance functions, directing a team of technicians, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and direct a team of fleet technicians, service workers, and cleaners to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, budgets, and reports to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to manage parts inventories and ensure timely delivery of necessary components.
- Communicate effectively with clients and staff to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Manage financial and accounting aspects of fleet maintenance operations, including budgeting and cost control.
- At least three years of experience managing maintenance functions in a transit bus operation.
- Proven ability to direct and manage a team of technicians and support staff.
- Experience working with 50+ buses and managing parts inventories.
- Strong technical competence in light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicle repair and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and clients.
- Computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook.
- ASE or manufacturer's certifications.
- Experience with fixed route transit bus maintenance.
- Technical experience with diesel, CNG, and alternative fuels.
- CDL class B with passenger and airbrake endorsement.
