ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Assistant Restaurant Managers, supervised by the General Manager, oversee daily restaurant operations. They lead restaurant activities to ensure conformity with brand standards, health & safety regulations, and satisfactory financial results.
ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Aid in administrative tasks such as: ordering, receiving, inventory management, scheduling, and vendor invoices.
2. Recruit, interview, and onboard staff, train employees, assign tasks, guide, assess, and handle disciplinary actions.
3. Manage all financial responsibilities like cash operations, deposits, authorizing discounts, and addressing customer complaints.
4. Investigate and resolve issues related to food quality and service standards.
5. Supervise equipment and facility maintenance to ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
6. Support marketing efforts, execute advertising campaigns to boost business.
7. Demonstrate and instill the organization's values and culture, mentor team members.
8. Provide feedback and performance evaluations, aid in team development.
9. Collaborate effectively with the management team and staff, show initiative, discretion, and organizational skills.
10. Address customer concerns promptly.
11. Utilize computer systems and applications as needed.
12. Occasionally assist in other roles as required.
13. Fulfill additional tasks as delegated by the Supervisor.
ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Must be proficient in English (reading and writing).
Effective communication skills with guests and team members.
Capable of standing/walking for the entire shift.
Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting items up to 50lbs multiple times per shift.
Ability to work in hot and moist environments, handle open flames, sharp tools, and kitchen equipment.
Able to hold items for extended periods and lift weights up to 5lbs.
The annual salary ranges between $55,000 to $65,000 USD.
