Job Title/High Level Position Summary: Receiving Inspector

Performs a multitude of Dimensional Inspection on various hand tools, Comparators, and or Keyence Vision Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform First Article Inspection (FAI)
  • Perform dimensional inspection of sub-assemblies or final assemblies.
  • Perform quality control/release testing on products and incoming quality inspections.
  • Dimensional & visual inspection to drawings,using gauges and other reliant inspection equipment
  • Perform inspection in accordance with the FDA, ISO, and other applicable regulations.
  • Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming material.
  • Maintain compliance in a highly regulated environment for medical devices following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Able to communicate findings effectively in oral and written form with the aim of improving processes.
  • Work as part of a team, contributing ideas to improve processes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with team members from areas including but not limited to Manufacturing, Procurement, Distribution, Engineering, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs.
  • Meet schedule and overtime requirements as needed.

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required, associate or bachelor's degree a plus.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience required, experience with quality dimensional inspection.
  • Strong visual acuity and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time required.
  • Perform other functions as needed including 5S, Cal Lab help, and listening to instructions.

Travel Requirements:

  • None

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and maneuver up to 30lbs regularly required.
