Job Description

Summary/Objective

The Assistant Coach will collaborate with the head coach in running the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Program. They will ensure compliance with all NCAA, G-MAC, and institutional rules and regulations. Attendance at all NCAA Compliance meetings is mandatory, along with completion of the NCAA DII University Modules annually.

Essential Functions
  • Administer the intercollegiate program in alignment with University, NCAA, and G-MAC regulations
  • Contribute to public relations and promotion of the sports program
  • Assist in recruiting and liaison with campus agencies on various matters
  • Provide guidance to student-athletes on discipline, academics, and personal development
  • Coordinate sports performance training and practice sessions
  • Conduct or oversee practice sessions, pre-game preparations, and in-game coaching
  • Participate in recruiting activities and fundraising efforts
  • Plan team travel logistics including meals, accommodations, and schedules
  • Ensure compliance reporting and oversee equipment management
  • Coach student-athletes during games and practices
  • Contribute to Alumni Relations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time 11-month position with variable hours based on practice and competition schedules.

Travel
Travel is necessary for accompanying the team to events. A valid US driver's license is required.

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Skills in public relations, NCAA rules, and fostering relationships
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong organizational, communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse student population

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Master's degree
  • Two or more years of collegiate coaching experience
