This is a great opportunity to join the team at Amarillo College We are looking for our next Full-Time Coordinator/Supplemental Instructor for IBEST Advanced Manufacturing who will fully embrace our mission. In this role, you will work closely with various departments to provide academic support for students in career pathway programs. The Coordinator will lead the IBEST instructional team, offering training on teaching methodologies and providing mentorship.
Requirements
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Science or related field (Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing, Electrical, Construction).
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Education or a Technical Field (Industrial Maintenance or Manufacturing).
EXPERIENCE
Required: Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic support roles.
Preferred: Familiarity with learning management systems and educational technologies such as Zoom, Blackboard, Google Suite, Remind, and Microsoft Office.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and co-teach course lessons with faculty and instructors.
- Identify and recruit eligible students for IBEST services.
- Provide training for IBEST instructors on various methodologies.
- Mentor and coach instructors to improve student success.
- Monitor student success metrics and report progress.
- Ensure grant compliance and program conditions.
- Liaise with workforce partners to share labor market information.
- Collaborate with professionals in student development.
- Utilize student success platforms to track academic journeys.
- Assess program strengths and weaknesses for improvement.
- Administer assessments and reports as required.
- Embrace a culture of caring and commitment to student success.
