About the Role

Amarillo College is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Music Instructor to join our team. As a Supplemental Music Educator, you will have the opportunity to teach applied instrumental and vocal private lessons and/or other music courses to students of all ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and curriculum for music courses.
  • Teach private lessons and group classes in instrumental and vocal music.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement music programs.
  • Participate in department meetings and contribute to the development of music curriculum.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Music or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of teaching experience in music education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
