Job Description:
Shift:
Monday–Friday 1st shift.
Pay:
$44.47–$52.53/hr depending on experience.
This is a temporary assignment that is slated for 1 year with possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget.
Position is responsible for protein purification using a variety of chromatographic techniques (affinity, size exclusion, ion exchange) for structural and biochemical studies.
Including, screening and optimizing expression and purification of challenging membrane proteins using detergent lysis.Position is also responsible for using various expression platforms such as E.coli, insect cells (BEVS), and mammalian expression platforms for small and medium scale protein production.
Including, performing SDS–PAGE, western blot, protein characterization assays by different biophysical and biochemical methods.Qualifications:
Master's degree with 3+ years of experience or PhD with 1+ year of experience.
Experience within protein purification and protein expression.
