Airswift has a task from one of our major Oil & Gas clients to find a Sr Automation Technician to join them on a long-term task in Dickinson, ND.

The SCADA/Automation Technician is in charge of maintaining and operating the Bakken Asset SCADA system and Automated Facility Controls. This is a field-based role involving daily travel to field locations. The SCADA/Automation Technician collaborates closely with production operations, I&E technicians, Engineering teams, and SCADA Administrators. The role reports to the Bakken Construction and Engineering organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding and implementing the complete automation scope of work on all facilities
  • Assisting in leading a team during the commissioning of production facilities
  • Setting clear HES performance expectations and ensuring all HES policies and procedures are followed
  • Conducting and documenting functional checkouts on facilities and equipment
  • Safely making live field adjustments to controllers based on current scope
  • Ensuring accurate data flow into the SCADA system
  • Reviewing C&E documents and checking facility programs
  • Performing PSSRs on new installations and maintenance
  • Working on RTU and HMI program modifications
  • Identifying proper calibration of instruments and devices
  • Maintaining pipeline systems and control platforms
  • Understanding and troubleshooting facility control systems
  • Instrumentation repair and support
  • Utilizing testing equipment for troubleshooting and repair

Requirements:

  • ROC800/DS800 & Emerson product experience
  • Exposure to FB3000/FBxNET designer
  • Knowledge in various programs like Allen Bradley RSLogix
  • Experience in Communication Protocols and Instrumentation
  • Familiarity with Crimson Software and related products
  • Understanding of Artificial Lift Systems
  • Knowledge of low voltage control wiring
  • Experience in control systems standards
  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • 7+ years experience in similar roles
  • Experience in Upstream/production Oil & Gas Industry
