Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and reconcile security accounts and related cash funds in compliance with laws and regulations governing the Unclaimed Property program.
  • Verify, maintain, and manage security accounts and cash funds according to laws and regulations governing the program.
  • Perform other essential functions including work on properties escheated in the name of the State of California, assignments, special projects, and more.
  • Communicate with internal and external parties regarding stock and cash status and methods of security payment.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Investment/securities knowledge.
  • Ability to analyze data and draw sound conclusions.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, as well as the ability to use good judgment.
  • Ability to interpret and apply laws, rules, standards and procedures.
