Symbiotic Services is actively seeking a highly capable Purchasing Specialist on behalf of our esteemed client in the printing industry. This role involves producing top-quality printed products for various markets, including cosmetics, personal health care, beverages, food, and dietary supplements. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a dynamic team focused on maintaining efficient production workflows across several manufacturing plants located in California, Ohio, and Texas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with inventory management by creating and expediting purchase orders for materials related to production.
  • Utilize the ERP Label Traxx system to update production tickets with stock, ink, and tooling delivery dates.
  • Ensure accuracy in order confirmations, update purchase orders and Label Traxx Tickets accordingly.
  • Monitor and communicate any purchase order delays to relevant departments, including scheduling and customer service.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for the purchasing of necessary repair or replacement parts.
  • Work closely with warehouse staff to manage transfers, ensuring they are shipped out timely to meet branch requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing records, including daily and monthly open purchase order reports.
  • Contribute to the efficiency of the production team by running requirement reports and analyzing inventory needs.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED certificate; Bachelor's degree or experience in supply chain management preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in spreadsheet management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
