Job Overview:
Embark on a pivotal role at an exciting energy technology startup, contributing directly to daily operations. As the Compliance Test Engineer, collaborate closely with product development teams to ensure designs align with safety and performance standards stipulated by recognized bodies such as UL, IEEE, IEC, IBC, and NFPA.

Your duties will include constructing test apparatus and conducting safety assessments and compliance evaluations vital for securing product certifications promptly and effectively.

Prior to product launch, facilitate product certifications by liaising with NRTLs, traveling to test facilities, executing tests, and preparing test documentation.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop innovative test methodologies and construct new test equipment for safety and compliance evaluations
  • Execute product safety validation assessments throughout the product development phase, preceding certification procedures
  • Conduct certification evaluations on-site and travel to perform assessments at external NRTL and laboratory facilities
  • Maintain comprehensive product requirement records to ensure regulatory compliance

Qualifications:

BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (or similar discipline) is mandatory

Minimum of 2 years conducting compliance or safety tests on batteries, inverters, or related products, or one or more internships in a related domain

Practical proficiency and the ability to operate safely and independently with power supplies, hand tools, and other potentially hazardous equipment

Strong written and verbal communication skills
