•40% of work will be building relationship with developers, understanding what issues we have today, app flow at top, know projects that are coming


•First 3 months is learning what is allowed in the Bank

•They will have design principles set and already solutioned when they go to teams to build out


•Communication is crucial here


•Most apps sit on Red Hat, 3 out of 4 role - come from RH background and 1 person will be Windows based


•DESIGN - dev team says this is how app works and how it will connect with teams, need interpret that and come up with infra blueprint (hardware, memory, storage, middleware, etc - don't need to be SME here but need to know what/how and have those convos)

oWhen stuck, go to work with someone to get the knowledge and ask questions

oHave app knowledge but don't need to have been a developer


•This team hands over design over to another team to build (solution engineers)
