In this position, you will assess the needs and risks of existing clients to develop customized benefit strategies. You will engage directly with clients and carriers to manage daily tasks efficiently, meeting both client expectations and operational goals promptly and within budget.

Additionally, you may take on the role of a trainer and mentor for new team members, ensuring that services are delivered professionally and promptly.


Duties:
- Provide account management support for client teams to coordinate client work.
- Collaborate with client teams to establish benefit strategies, evaluate current benefits, and provide recommendations to clients.
- Maintain positive working relationships and clear communication with colleagues, clients, and insurance providers.
- Establish and manage timelines for project completion, ensuring tasks are carried out efficiently.
- Coordinate the process of gathering and summarizing proposals from insurance carriers.
- Assist sales and service teams in the marketing of new and renewal business, including client proposal preparation.

- Gather data for carrier negotiations during renewals and assist in resolving any negotiation issues.
- Coordinate the implementation of new health and welfare benefit plans.

- Communicate regularly with insurance companies, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth account administration and address any concerns promptly.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Solid understanding of employee benefit coverages and their practical application.
- Ability to comprehend and analyze life and health coverages, forms, and policies.
- Effective communication skills for interactions with clients, carriers, colleagues, and team members, both verbally and in writing.
- Capability to travel for client meetings and presentations, when necessary.
- Proficiency in computer operations and software applications such as Agency Management System, Word, and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills for multitasking and managing multiple duties concurrently.
- Willingness to engage in continual internal and external educational opportunities to enhance knowledge of insurance trends and systems.
- Compliance with industry regulations and company policies, including client privacy, HIPAA, and E&O procedures.

Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Active state-specific Life & Health Insurance agent's license required or obtainable within three months of hire.
- Preferred technical designations such as CEBS, CLU, etc., and Human Resources certifications like PHR or SPHR.

Experience:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in employee benefits, human resources, insurance, or related field.
