Chamberlain Elementary - Join Our Team as a Special Education Teacher

POSITION PURPOSE:
  • Instruct students in various subjects using effective teaching methods.
  • Create teaching outlines, assign lessons, and offer feedback to students.
  • Conduct tests to assess students' progress, maintain discipline, and communicate with parents about academic and behavioral issues.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and engage in professional development activities.
  • Other duties as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Plan engaging lessons based on standards and individual student needs.
  • Adapt instruction for diverse learners and utilize technology effectively.
  • Maintain an organized and safe classroom environment.
  • Communicate with parents and colleagues professionally.
  • Follow School Board policies and procedures diligently.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: Valid Indiana Teacher's License in relevant subject area and/or grade level(s)

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Effective teacher with strong communication and technology skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Highly motivated and organized with a positive attitude towards teaching.
  • Skilled at problem-solving and fostering positive relationships.
WORK CALENDAR: Full-time position during school year

SALARY: Teaching Contract - Competitive salary
