Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated GIS Teacher to join our team at Goshen Community Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching 6th grade students and providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instructional Leadership: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of all students, utilizing curriculum maps and other district resources.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organized and safe classroom environment, ensuring that students are able to learn and grow in a positive and respectful atmosphere.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Administer tests and assessments to evaluate student progress, record results, and provide feedback to students and parents.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, and work collaboratively to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Professional Development: Participate in faculty and professional meetings, professional development experiences, and educational conferences to stay current with best practices in teaching and learning.
Requirements
  • Valid Indiana Teacher's License: Possess a valid Indiana Teacher's License in the appropriate subject area and/or grade level(s).
  • Effective Communication Skills: Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Technology Skills: Possess proficient technology skills, including the ability to use curriculum management systems, educational software, and other digital tools.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives.
