Cerner Revenue Cycle SME

ob Description: We are seeking a Cerner Revenue Cycle SME to join our team in a supervisory role. This position requires a strong background in Cerner Patient Accounting and Revenue Cycle processes, along with excellent organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be an experienced super user with the ability to facilitate operational process discussions, manage project teams, and optimize EMR solutions to meet client needs and ensure regulatory compliance. This is a remote position with up to 80% travel (primarily Monday through Thursday), and travel reimbursement is provided.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise project teams to ensure high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Support business process evaluations to identify inefficiencies, performance gaps, and improve patient experience.
- Optimize Cerner EMR solutions to meet client needs and regulatory compliance standards.
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT teams to assess and improve client workflows.
- Train client personnel on new processes and system functionalities.
- Manage project work plans, timelines, and milestones to ensure timely delivery.
- Mentor junior staff on best practices and project management techniques.
- Assist in preparing project status reports and tracking project deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (strongly preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in revenue cycle consulting, preferably in hospitals or large physician groups - preferred.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with Smartsheet - preferred
- Expertise with Cerner systems, with a high-level understanding (configuration experience not required).
- Proven ability to manage projects, work with cross-functional teams, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time (primarily Monday through Thursday).
Work Environment:
- Remote with travel (up to 80% of the time, primarily Monday through Thursday).
- Client Base: Hospitals, physician groups, dental, and radiology clients (Epic or Cerner experience preferred).
Compensation:

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
