Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Wilmington, Delaware

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Wilmington, Delaware. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality speech and language services to students, working collaboratively with educators and parents to support student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and screenings to identify speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create supportive learning environments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and therapy sessions.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities.
  • Provide consultation and training to school staff and parents regarding speech and language development.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Delaware state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Department of Education certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Delaware.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required Licensure and Certifications:

  • Delaware Speech-Language Pathologist License
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
  • Delaware Department of Education Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Passing scores on relevant Praxis exams (if required by the state)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform the duties of the job which may include lifting, bending, sitting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to handle the physical demands of working with young children and students with special needs.
