RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Wheat Ridge, CO that is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team.Summary:As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the organization. You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records to ensure accurate and timely reporting.Key Responsibilities:
  • General Ledger Management: Staff Accountant will maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date
  • Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end closing process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process and record accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and variance analysis to support management in decision-making
  • Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash balances and resolve discrepancies
  • Tax Compliance: As a Staff Accountant, you will assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings
  • Audit Support: Assist in preparing for internal and external audits by gathering documentation and supporting schedules
  • Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting: Support various accounting projects and provide financial analysis as needed


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field of study
  • 3+ years of full-time accounting experience, including invoicing and cost analysis as an accountant, accounting manager, or other accounting-focused role
  • Applied knowledge and demonstrated experience working with US GAAP
  • Experience creating financial statements
  • Experience with General Ledger functions and month-end and year-end close processes
  • Excellent accounting software user and administrator
  • Knowledge of electronic timekeeping with QuickBooks Time or similar software
  • Excellent digital literacy, demonstrated advanced proficiency in PC and software applications, including Google Suite, especially Google Sheets, and Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and internet and web-based applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work collaboratively within teams
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities in a growing company
  • Excellent speaking and writing skills in English
  • Meticulous attention to detail; Ability to read and interpret numbers and letters correctly
  • The ability to independently prioritize and manage workloads


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
