A turnaround financial management Company is looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Controller. The Controller must provide accurate and timely financial information to the CEO and stakeholders for decision-making purposes and provide the Company with day-to-day financial management and leadership for all financial affairs of the organization and its Affiliated Companies.

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Management · Maintain the company original books of records and provide accurate and timely financial statements and advice through period reports to Management and Principals. · Supervise and maintain the Accounts Receivable, Credit and Collections functions and manage cash receipts including security deposits. · Supervise and maintain the Accounts Payable and its functions. · Supervise and maintain all Cash Disbursement Requests & Vouchers. · Manage Working Capital assets to maximize cash flow for the organization. · Provide the company’s outside accountants and attorneys with information on an as-needed basis · All other Duties and Tasks as assigned.

Risk Management · Ensure that all funds, physical assets, and other property of the organization are appropriately safeguarded and administered by designing and administering a system of internal controls. · Work with the COO on insurance administration. Work with insurance brokers to manage coverages.

Budget Setting

& Performance

Monitoring · Prepare annual Capital & Expense Budgets, cash flow analyses, and working capital projections and assist CEO and COO in creation of budgets for all aspects of business. · Implement periodic reporting and communication of results.

Financial Operations · Design, Document and Implement operating policies and procedures for the accounting organization that support the general policies as defined by the COO. · Pro-actively review financial and operational processes on an ongoing basis with a view to continuous process improvement and cost efficiency.

Taxation · Assist in the preparation of the work papers required for the outside accountants to file the Federal and State Income Tax Returns for the Company. · Assist in the preparation the Local Income, Sales Tax, Personal Property Taxes, Payroll Tax & other Government Regulatory Reports in a timely fashion in full regulatory compliance.

Contract Review · Review manage and prepare reporting on the status the leasing contracts including but not limited to collections, expiration, and insurance compliance of the leases.

HR Management · Maintain comprehensive HR records for both employees and independent consultants. · Supervise the Human Resource Department and review polices and procedures for regulatory compliance for the Department of Labor, ERISA, and State Employment Agencies. · Administer the company health insurance, fringe benefit, and Simple IRA plans and programs. · Review and approve the payroll and payroll tax processing.

Education/Experience · Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidate must have prior experience in equipment leasing.

Skills · Strong business writing skills presenting financial data effectively. · Project management skills: Develops project plans and communicates changes and progress in a clear concise manner. · Computer skills: Candidate should have strong working knowledge of excel and other Office 365 products, experience in QuickBooks Enterprise accounting software is a plus. · Strong analytical and accounting skills: Financial modeling, cash flow preparation and variance analysis. · Adaptability and the ability to work in a changing environment.
