About the Role:
Soliant Education is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated High School English Teacher in Newark, NJ. This full-time, year-long position offers a fantastic opportunity to inspire and educate high school students, fostering their love for literature and language while preparing them for academic and career success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging English language arts curriculum that aligns with state standards.
  • Teach a range of literature and writing skills, including reading comprehension, creative writing, and critical analysis.
  • Develop lesson plans that incorporate diverse literary genres and writing styles.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and projects.
  • Encourage a positive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking and effective communication.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and school staff to enhance educational programs and student outcomes.
  • Stay current with educational trends and best practices in English language instruction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in English, Education, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification for high school English or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Proven experience teaching high school English, including expertise in literature and writing instruction.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create an engaging and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
