Position Overview:

Are you dedicated to supporting students in their journey to master English as a second language? Soliant Education is seeking a skilled K-8 ESL Teacher for a full-time, year-long contract position in Newark, NJ. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about helping students from diverse linguistic backgrounds succeed academically and integrate seamlessly into the classroom.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tailored ESL lessons for K-8 students, focusing on language acquisition and academic integration.
  • Assess students' language skills and progress, providing targeted feedback and support to meet individual needs.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that encourages language development and cultural appreciation.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and administration to support students educational goals and facilitate their transition.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Education, TESOL, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Valid New Jersey teaching certification with ESL endorsement.
  • Strong understanding of K-8 ESL curriculum and effective instructional strategies.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school personnel from diverse backgrounds.
