Position Summary:
The Payroll Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our team of over 300 California-based employees. This position requires hands-on experience with Paylocity, strong data entry skills, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in processing payroll for 300+ California employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state regulations.
- Enter and update payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, and other relevant information into Paylocity.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of payroll reports.
- Manage data entry for 401(k) contributions and other benefits.
- Communicate effectively with employees regarding payroll inquiries and issues.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll information.
- Collaborate with the HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and improve processes.
- Proven experience with Paylocity payroll software is required.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Knowledge of California payroll regulations and compliance is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Competitive hourly rate of $28-$32.
- Flexible part-time schedule with 24 hours per week.
