IT Asset Management Specialist

The Opportunity:
Are you searching for a position where you can use your asset management and logistics skills to support a project from concept to completion? That’s why we need you, an Asset Management Specialist who can help ensure success through careful analysis and effective communication.

In this role, you’ll provide Asset Management support to an information technology (IT) program office throughout the logistics lifecycle. You’ll work with program leadership to track and maintain integrated logistics support action items and schedules. You will maintain inventory of both new and legacy hardware and software. You’ll manage software to include version number, licenses, quantities available versus used, and license keys. You will perform logistic tasks such as shipping or receiving, tracking, and disposal of equipment, software, or systems. You will provide input on integrated product team briefings and support the development of program acquisition documents. You will have regular interactions with various integrated logistics support teams, product managers, and SMEs. You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in logistics, materials management, or supply chain management
  • Experience performing asset life-cycle management and product lifecycle management processes
  • Experience with direct logistics or engineering support, including planning, coordination, documentation, or tracking of engineering projects, transportation, shipment, inventory control, or information management operations in a DoD environment
  • Experience using database management systems to track and maintain large logistical requirements
  • Experience designing end-to-end scalable processes in supply chain management and logistics
  • Knowledge of inventory management, transportation, and financial improvement and audit readiness (FIAR) compliance
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement logistics and business processes
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED


Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with program management of acquisition category (ACAT) programs
  • Experience with DoD acquisition programs and policies
  • Experience collaborating and coordinating with a cross-matrix organization to ensure contract deliverables are adequately reviewed from a total logistics support perspective and approved in accordance with contract requirements
  • Experience developing lifecycle processes for the sustainment of IT programs
  • Knowledge of Agile and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) methodologies
  • Bachelor’s degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
