SeniorManager, Human Resources is a key leadership position requiringextensive HR experience strong leadership skills and strategicthinking. As Senior HR Manager you will create positive businessrelationships to develop and implement HR Strategies that alignwith the company’s goals and objectives. Leading a team of HRprofessionals, who assist in recruiting and retaining talent,create a training and development environment and promote a cultureof employeeengagement.

Accountabilities:

Specificareas of direct responsibilities include strategic HR planning,employee relations, talent acquisition, training and development,performance management, compensation and benefits, HR Policies andprocedure administration, compliance, HR Metrics and reporting,employee engagement, leadership, and team management. Oversees allaspects of Human Resources and may perform other duties asrequired.

  • Drive all core HR processesand tools including payroll systems, HRIS systems, laborrequirements, training needs, and strategies to reduce employeeturnover and improve the employee experience.
  • Working in conjunction with the HR Director, assist withthe development, implementation, and maintenance of effectivebusiness solutions to support the current and future humanresources needs for the bakery (i.e. Organizational Design,Performance Management Systems, succession planning, Health &Welfare Programs, and Employee Relations).
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees onemployee relations matters; supporting management and with thedisciplinary process and all terminations to eliminate potentialliability and enhance processes. Ensure consistent administrationof company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure thepeople-perspective is represented in business decisions soimplications are understood, and the workforce is proactivelymanaged; assessing the impact of business decisions on workforceand provides solutions to optimize opportunities and mitigate anydownsides.
  • Investigate and resolve employeerelations issues; including the investigation of harassment,discrimination, and other charges; manage discipline, dischargefunctions, and assume responsibility for the uniform and equitableapplication of policies across the bakery.
  • Manage all local payroll activities which include but isnot limited to  leadership training, system access andcoordinate with Payroll center of excellence on issue resolutions,exceptions.
  • Maintain working knowledge ofbenefits, including health and welfare, pension; holiday and PTOpay; and salary continuation plans.
  • Performopen enrollment functions as required by Benefits center ofexcellence.
  • Maintain a working knowledge ofoutside benefits, unemployment insurance and SDI.
  • Manage site HRIS programs such as leaves of absence,terminations, and resignations utilizing Success Factors
  • Comply with COBRA, FMLA, CFRA, ADA and the Pregnancyleave acts and ensure local state & government compliance inareas such as wage and hour, EEO/AA, and ICE.
  • Ensure consistent administration of company policies andprocedures.
  • Perform other duties or specialprojects as required by the Human ResourcesDirector.

JobRequirements:

  • Bachelor’sdegree in human resource management, Industrial Relations,Psychology, or Business Administration or a related field preferred(or advanced certificates in Human Resources Management)required.
  • SPHR Certificationpreferred
  • 5+ years of Human ResourcesManager experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) stronglypreferred.
  • Excellent oral and writtencommunication skills, including the ability to clearly andconcisely answer questions and convey information to employees andmanagement team.
  • Experience with applicationsand operations of HRIS and Payroll software,
  • Effective time management skills, including ability toprioritize workload to meet key deadlines.
  • Travel Requirements: Less than 25%, NorthAmerica
