Position Overview:
The Senior Manager of Human Resources plays a pivotal role in our leadership team, necessitating extensive HR expertise, robust leadership capabilities, and strategic insight. In this capacity, you will cultivate positive business relationships to design and execute HR strategies that align with our organizational objectives. You will lead a team of HR professionals focused on talent acquisition, employee retention, training, and fostering a culture of engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all fundamental HR processes and tools, including payroll systems, HRIS, labor requirements, and strategies aimed at enhancing employee experience and reducing turnover.
- Collaborate with the HR Director to develop and implement effective business solutions that address current and future HR needs, such as Organizational Design, Performance Management Systems, and Employee Relations.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on employee relations issues, ensuring fair application of company policies and procedures.
- Represent the workforce perspective in business decisions, assessing impacts and offering solutions to optimize opportunities.
- Investigate and resolve employee relations concerns, including harassment and discrimination claims, while ensuring equitable policy application.
- Manage local payroll functions, including leadership training and coordination with the Payroll center of excellence.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of benefits, including health and welfare programs, pension plans, and leave policies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including COBRA, FMLA, and ADA.
- Execute additional duties or special projects as assigned by the Human Resources Director.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; advanced HR certifications are a plus.
- SPHR Certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of HR management experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to employees and management.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll software applications.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Willingness to travel within North America, less than 25% of the time.
