Data Management Analyst

The Opportunity:

As a Data Management Analyst, you will manage and analyze data to support business operations and decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with data management tools, and a solid understanding of data governance principles.

As a client-facing Data Management Analyst, you’ll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Not only will you provide a deep understanding of their data, but you’ll also advise your client on what the information means and how it can be used to make an impact.

How You’ll Contribute:
As a Data Management Analyst on our team, you’ll:

  • Draft data usage agreements and clean and schedule transfers of data from various sources to support business operations and decision-making.

  • Develop and support data management processes and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity.

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders and data providers to understand data requirements and provide data solutions.

  • Create and support data documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and data models.

  • Monitor data quality and implement data validation and cleansing processes.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of data governance frameworks and policies.

  • Provide training and support to business users on data management best practices, tools, and roadmaps.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data management and analytics.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience in data management or data analysis

  • Experience in data management tools, such as SQL, Excel

  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI

  • Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices

  • Ability to analyze and think critically

  • Ability to communicate and be collaborative

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working with Government agencies in the DoD

  • Experience with data management platforms, such as Informatica, Talend, or Alteryx

  • Experience with programming languages, such as Python or R

  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies

  • Master’s degree in Data Science or Data Analytics

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
