 TITLE: Director of Strategic PartnershipDEPARTMENT: Office of the PresidentREPORTS TO: Provost and VP of Academic AffairsCLASSIFICATION: Staff-12 monthsEFFECTIVE DATE: TBDSTANDARD WORK HOURS: 37.5 hours per weekEMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-Time EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Exempt  JOB SUMMARY: The Executive Director of Stakeholder Engagement is a crucial administrative role providing high-level support to the Vice Chancellor in managing academic affairs and cultivating strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the overall efficiency of the office of academic affairs, seamless operations, coordinating communication, and facilitating effective collaboration within the academic community and with external partners to strengthen the Kentucky State University and connections with key partners.    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Provide comprehensive support to the University President and the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs.Serves as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and efficient communication on behalf of the institution.Coordinate and facilitate engagements with academic partners, government officials, and other stakeholders to enhance collaboration and strategic partnerships that will assist in obtaining institutional goals and objectives.Assist with the organization and management of events, conferences, and meetings, both on and off-campus, to promote academic initiatives and strengthen relationships with stakeholders.Prepare and compile reports, presentations, and documentation as required by the President and Provost, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Assist in the planning and execution of special projects related to the institutional and stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality in all matters related to institutional and stakeholder engagement.Prepare materials for meetings, attend sessions, and assist in capturing key action items and follow-ups. Foster effective communication and collaboration between the Office of the President, Academic Affairs, academic departments and the stakeholder engagement team in support of MOUs, MOA, contracts and the implementation of new and innovative initiativesOther duties ss assigned by the President.  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Earned MBA from and accredited college or university is a plusKnowledge of and experience with human resources functions as they relate to academic affairs is a plusKnowledge of and experience with online degree programs is a plusExperience in academic environments as a faculty/instructor is a plusProficiency with Canvas, Banner, EAB Navigate, Watermark, and related platforms is a plus. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY  This position does not have supervisory responsibility.   OTHER DUTIES:  This position will conduct other duties as needed QUALIFICATIONS: Doctorate degree from an accredited universityMinimum of five years of experience in higher education Pleasant Demeanor with proven evidence of quality customer service, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to sustain an environment conducive to excellence Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of integrityStrong communication skills:  written, oral, non-verbal, visual, and active listeningAbility to generate and edit speeches/talks, well-written memos, letters, reports, and e-mail communicationsSuperior analytical and project management skillsStrong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentSuperior proficiency with the Microsoft Suite and the ability to quickly learn new applicationsStrong Excel skills – formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs Experience with project management softwareExceptional organizational skills with high level of confidentiality, accuracy, attention to detail, and timeliness. Must be able to exercise judgment when handling sensitive and confidential informationAbility to adapt to changing priorities and navigate complex situations with poiseAbility to gain a firm understanding of academic organizations within the University as well as policies and procedures applicable to institutions of higher educationAbility to communicate professionally, schedule appointments and process requests for information in accord with established proceduresAbility to acquire comprehensive knowledge of university policies and procedures. Ability to establish and maintain collegial working relationships with internal and external constituenciesExperience working in an academic or non-profit organization, and interacting with elected officials and regional/national associationsAn affinity for working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Licensing and Certifications:            Only if applicable WORKING CONDITIONS: Occasional ability to lift, carry, and put away parcels weighing up to 35 pounds
