LifeWise Kentucky State Director

Frankfort, United States LifeWise Academy Support Center Full time
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAbout Us

Decades ago, our nation systematically removed Bible education from the public school day. LifeWise Academy is bringing it back. Under a little-known Supreme Court ruling, LifeWise empowers communities to provide Bible education for their public school students DURING SCHOOL HOURS. Tens of thousands of public school students attend LifeWise Bible classes each week.

We believe released time is the greatest missed opportunity of the church in America to reach the next generation. But we want to change that and we need your help

About You

You love Jesus. You love people. You know how to tell a good story.

Having never met a stranger, you have the ability to take advantage of each interaction and turn it into an opportunity for Kingdom advancement. You recognize that your sphere of influence is a mission field and are able to articulate how God is moving through and around you. You can connect people with ideas through conversation and influence them towards action. You can create excitement in people and then help them find ways to get involved in making a difference.

At the end of the day, you can influence others to get things done. Most importantly, you know this isn't just your career. It's a chance to do something meaningful. A chance to serve others. And a chance to make a life-changing impact on students with the Gospel.

About the Job

LifeWise is seeking a gospel-centered, results-driven and detail-oriented State Director to join their team.

This is a regional position responsible for cultivating programs and donors for LifeWise across the state. This will involve developing community interest in order to launch new programs and managing an individual pipeline of donors and strategic partners. This person will report to the VP of Program Growth and will be focused on growing LifeWise across the state by making key connections with community leaders, church leaders, schools administrators, donors, strategic partners and government officials. This person will manage the statewide committee and a network of volunteers across the state.

Responsibilities

State personnel activities are grouped into two primary areas of focus: Program Growth and Advancement. Program Growth includes community relations, school administrators, local and regional leaders. Advancement focuses on donors, strategic partnerships, and government relations.

✦ Program Growth Responsibilities

✧ Serve as an ambassador and spokesperson throughout the state, introducing the concept of LifeWise and cultivating community interest

✧ Become knowledgeable about LifeWise and its priorities in order to communicate those priorities effectively

✧ Recruit local individuals to help lead the charge in starting local programs

✧ Connect with existing networks of ministries, churches and organizations to discover opportunities

✧ Conduct regular "LifeWise 101" informational meetings throughout the region to raise awareness, grow community support and identify local leaders

✧ Identify "low-hanging fruit" communities and schools to begin and accelerate the 10-step launch process, contributing to momentum in the area

✦ Advancement Responsibilities

✧ Help establish and provide oversight to the Statewide Committee and goals

✧ Participate in each step of the donor pipeline and maintain an organized system for donor stewardship by updating constituent records in the LifeWise database

✧ Meet donor/prospect visits, solicitation/proposal and revenue goals.

✧ Develop donor strategies to renew and upgrade donor gifts.

✦ Note: The State Director does not provide primary oversight for established local programs. Once up and running, local programs are overseen by Program Coaches in the Program Health division. However, the State Director may be called upon by program coaches to assist in certain situations.

Qualifications

✦ Proven track record of 5+ years in management and people leadership within the nonprofit or related field

✦ Demonstrated success in fundraising and public speaking

✦ Bachelor's degree preferred, showcasing a commitment to continuous learning and growth

✦ A mature personal Christian faith that is consistent with the LifeWise Statement of Faith

✦ Extensive experience collaborating with ministry personnel, C-suite executives, school administrators, and community leaders

✦ Proficiency in project management, sales, and marketing, illustrating a well-rounded skill set

✦ Committed, competent, and driven, with exceptional communication skills

✦ High emotional intelligence, fostering strong relationships and navigating complex situations adeptly

✦ Self-motivated, hardworking, resilient, and persevering, ensuring success in challenging environments

✦ Willingness and ability to travel statewide, including occasional overnight stays as necessary

Salary and Benefits

✦ Starting at $90,000 per year, negotiable based on experience

✦ Medical, dental, and vision coverage for qualified employees

✦ Retirement plan, including employer match

✦ Unlimited PTO for qualified employees

✦ Job Type: Full-time

✦ Work Location: Kentucky Resident

LifeWise Academy's hiring practices and EEO Statement are fully in compliance with both federal and state law. Federal law creates an exception to the "religion" section of employment discrimination laws for religious organizations and permits them to give employment preference to members of their own religion. LifeWise Academy is in that category.
