Payroll Specialist

- Enters payroll documentation for processing as it is received
- Responds to employee payroll inquires
- Assist employees with utilizing timekeeping system (Replicon)
- Prepare pay input entries for managerial audit prior to completion of payroll using Workday Payroll Calculations feature
- Assist employees with utilizing Employee Self Service for taxes and payment elections
- Required knowledge of Form W2 to assist employees with inquiries
- Required knowledge of Cafeteria 125 pre-tax deductions to assist employees with inquiries
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training and experience preferred
Work Experience:
- 2-4 years' experience of payroll administration in a medium or large company
Job Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of customer service skills
- Must have ability to work independently
- Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to follow up, resolve and close all issues
- Proficiency in Excel
- Understanding of FMLA rules
- Understanding of Garnishment rules by states
- Must have strong computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)Must communicate with accuracy, diplomacy and confidentiality while interacting with a broad range of employees and managers

- Must have the flexibility to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant.
- Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor
- Travel via plane, car, and metro is not required to perform this job.
- Access information using a computer
- Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain
- Effectively cope with stressful situations
- Strong mental acuity Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.
- Other essential functions and marginal job functions are subject to modification.
