We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will be tasked with managing and overseeing our organization's payroll functions, ensuring that all processes are executed appropriately and in a timely manner. This position is integral to the smooth running of the financial aspects of our operation.


Responsibilities:

• Accurately process weekly payroll for both union field and non-union office/warehouse staff.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions which includes salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.

• Prepare and submit monthly union reports to keep track of our organization's activities.

• Oversee the weekly certified payroll reporting process to ensure the company remains compliant with all regulations.

• Generate various statistical payroll related reports on an as-needed basis.

• Update payroll information promptly, including setting up union rates.

• Submit prevailing wage intents and affidavits in a timely manner.

• Keep accurate records and reports of all payroll transactions for future reference.

• Ensure all payroll activities adhere to federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.

• Provide all necessary records and documentation for audits.


The pay range for this position is $30/hr to $35/hr.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Extensive knowledge in 401k - RRSP Administration

• Deep understanding of Payroll Taxes
• Capability to prepare Union Reports

• Proficiency in dealing with Prevailing Wage matters
