Technical Excellence : Achieve mastery over Pearson's systems, architecture, and technology stack, with the ability to address complex technical challenges.
Consistent Performance : Maintain consistently high performance, proving your capability to deliver results over time.
Strategic Initiatives : Lead large-scale projects focused on reliability, scalability, and performance improvement.
Skills & Qualities:
Technical proficiency in Pearson's technology stack, including but not limited to: Kubernetes, AWS Services, Terraform, Terragrunt
Proficiency in multiple programming and scripting languages, including Python, Go, Bash, and others relevant to infrastructure automation, system management, and performance optimization.
Outstanding leadership and mentoring capabilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Resilience and adaptability in fast-paced environments
Strong focus on continual learning and skills enhancement
Minimum Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Software Engineering
5+ years SRE experience on complex projects
Well-established SRE standards and practices gaining the respect of fellow high-level engineers.
High-level of cross-collaboration with internal customers/partners
Ability to work across many levels of engineers and management.
Proven track-record as a mentor & coach to fellow teammates and internal partners
