Job Description

Pearson Education Services is seeking a talented Cloud Engineer Intern to join our team for a 10-week internship program. As a Cloud Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-life projects, gain hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, and develop your skills in DevOps, identity and security solutions, and observability platforms.

About the Internship

The internship program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive introduction to our business, including our technology teams, products, and services. You will be assigned to a team and work on real-life projects that bring our products and services to life. On the job training and professional development will be provided to enable you to contribute to the business.

Responsibilities
  • Develop knowledge of building and maintaining infrastructure in Amazon Web Services (AWS) using Terraform
  • Learn about CI/CD pipelines and configure and support monitoring tools
  • Gain knowledge of agile standards and processes
  • Work with a diverse global team of engineers
  • Automate repetitive tasks using a programming language
  • Gain knowledge of the Linux operating system, Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, and AWS services
Requirements

We are looking for students pursuing a STEM degree with software development subjects or relevant work experience. You should have a basic understanding of a programming language such as Python, Java, C++, Node.js, or Ruby. Knowledge of a version source control tool such as Git is also required. You should be well-rounded and eager to take on new challenges. Flexibility is important, as you will be joining a versatile and agile team.
