Senior Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our team at Serigor Inc. in Durham, NC. This is a 12+ month HYBRID position that requires a strong understanding of AWS infrastructure and software release life cycle.
Job Description:The Senior Automation Engineer will lead the automation effort of infrastructure provisioning, build, and deploy activities for client applications. This position will be responsible for automating and performing tasks associated with the build and deploy processes for the client application by preparing and executing build scripts using Ansible, cloud formation, etc.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the automation effort of infrastructure provisioning, build, and deploy activities for client applications.
- Automate and perform tasks associated with the build and deploy processes for the client application.
- Prepare and execute build scripts using Ansible, cloud formation, etc.
- Provide hands-on automation support to the release and application development teams for the entire release management lifecycle across multiple applications.
- Recommend process improvements keeping Agile and DevOps culture and practices in mind.
- 7+ years of experience with automating OS and software patches and upgrades across multiple environments using automation tools like Ansible.
- Hands-on experience with BitBucket or GIT Source Code Management tool.
- Hands-on experience in automating build/deploy process including changes to database using tools like Ansible.
- Knowledge and experience in J2EE-specific application hosting, application tracing/debugging, and application deployment.
- Experience with build and release activities for large number of teams.
- Hands-on experience developing and managing CI/CD (DevOps) pipeline using tools like Teamcity, Jenkins, Ansible.
- Thorough knowledge/experience with Agile SDLC processes (Scrum, Kanban).
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Amazon web Services and infrastructure.
Please note that this position requires on-call support for evenings and weekends as required to meet business needs.
