- Interact with PACCAR divisions for understanding customer requirements and link to collecting customer field data.
- Translate requirements and powertrain data into target setting for future powertrain configurations.
- Be the architect for new powertrain topologies and high voltage architectures, including specification of boundary diagrams, hardware interfaces, and mappings of top-level requirements into specifications at the component level.
- Translate powertrain requirements into mathematical objective functions and use these functions to analyze various powertrain configurations and high voltage architectures, and decompose requirements into targets for individual sub-components.
- Development and maintenance of PACCAR Powertrain zero emission technology roadmap.
- Maintain relationships with external partners (suppliers, research & educational institutes) for scouting new technologies, leverage knowledge, and keep PACCAR abreast of new technology developments.
