Role Summary
Are you enthusiastic about advancing Battery Electric Vehicles? Do you possess a strong background in Power Electronics? If you have a diverse skill set in electrical safety principles, systems engineering, product design, and effective communication, then this role as a Senior Project Engineer in the Global Powertrain Division is an excellent fit for you. You will be part of a new team of skilled engineers focused on integrating safety into Electrical Vehicle Systems across all global vehicle divisions.

This position emphasizes a global perspective and requires collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional, and multicultural team.

Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead the ideation, design, and implementation of cutting-edge high-voltage power electronics systems.
- Develop component specifications aligned with system performance objectives.
- Coordinate development efforts with prototype suppliers to ensure functional hardware is available for on-road testing.
- Contribute to the product development roadmap for advanced electric vehicle technologies through collaboration with suppliers and colleagues across the global organization.
- Provide regular updates to communicate project status, changes, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required; a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Business is preferred.
- Over 8 years of experience in automotive or aviation engineering, translating innovative ideas into prototypes through detailed design processes.
- Extensive experience with electric vehicles or high-voltage electronic components is preferred.
- Proven ability to collaborate across diverse teams to achieve objectives and meet timelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of delivering technical presentations and written reports to varied audiences.
- A proactive approach to personal and professional growth, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt new processes and techniques.
