Duties & Responsibilities o Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards o Take ownership of assigned accounts and markets, to meet and/or exceed established sales goals in o Play an active role in annual corporate and consortia RFP process, for assigned accounts o Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask between corporate transient and group demand o Manage individual corporate reservation quotes o Input detailed profile notes in Opera and Triple Seat to help develop a guest database o Ability to maintain strong partnerships through effective communication o Collaborate with Finance Dept. to audit transient commissions and ensure prompt payment o Take ownership of all incoming group requests and communication with Revenue Management to provide clients with a response within 24hrs o Adhere to weekly and monthly sales activities including; offsite appointments, site tours, networking events, and prospecting o Manage Corporate negotiated RFP submission:
Tracking/Management of RFP Tool / RFP submission once approved by DOS and DORM o Execute all locally negotiated rate agreements o Manage corporate rate loading process and auditing from start to finish o Coordinate client site inspections and effectively communicate to Front Office, Housekeeping, and other parties involved o Coordinate with GEM to ensure VIPs are communicated throughout all Departments o Attend regularly scheduled meetings:
daily morning meetings, revenue meetings, group resume meetings, etc. as required. o Support DOS on all administrative tasks related to the Sales department including sharing any relevant communication with other departments Qualifications & Requirements o 1-3 years in a Sales Manager or Sales Coordinator role o Transient RFP process and negotiations o Ability to respond quickly and effectively to RFPs, emails, and phone calls o Comfortable with prospecting, identifying new accounts, and building relationships with new and existing partners o Detail oriented and hospitality-minded o Clear understanding of yielding and rate structure processes o Basic understanding of revenue management o Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint o Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends o Some travel to key feeder markets and tradeshows may be requiredDesirable o Multi-lingual, comfortable entertaining clients, and a natural networker o Knowledge of Opera, Lanyon, and Agency360 software o Understanding of corporate RFP process and negotiations o Knowledgeable in Consortia and TMC market Recommended Skills Attention To Detail Auditing Communication Customer Relationship Management Databases Finance Apply to this job.
