Inventory & Procurement Coordinator

Your role in our success:
The Inventory and Procurement Coordinator is directly responsible for the procurement and maintenance of adequate inventory levels to facilitate the timely completion of capital and operations & maintenance projects at multiple locations. This position will coordinate with a multitude of vendors to ensure that Eastern Shore is receiving the highest quality products that meet Company specifications while closely monitoring associated costs.
What you'll be working on:
- Coordinate the purchasing of inventory at various facility locations to provide adequate levels of materials that will facilitate the timely completion of ESNG projects.
- Work with varied and numerous vendors to ensure the highest quality products and best pricing is achieved.
- Coordinate the preparation of material bid specifications in consultation with Engineering, Operations, Construction, Integrity or
- Compression Departments. Issue RFP / bid, receive and analyze proposals and bids, request approvals and award bids.
- Conduct frequent physical inventory counts while reconciling any discrepancies. Assist Accounting during cycle counts and year end inventory counts and explain variances.
- Receive deliveries from vendors into the Epicor system, following up on backordered or undelivered items, and stocking materials in predetermined locations. The entering of orders into the Epicor system for the issuance of purchase order numbers to track materials.
- Track inventory receipt and delivery including management of location and retrieval for all inventory located in warehouse and in wareyard.
- Request quotes for vehicle purchases as needed, purchase vehicles based on budget and direction from management and coordinate delivery and transfer of vehicle to Safety for Fleet Management.
Who you are:
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Strong computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- High level of integrity and analytical skills required along with the ability to make sound reasonable decisions. Also must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Work well in group problem solving situations. Work well with cross-business unit partners.
- High level of concise, clear, and objectively written and oral communication necessary to establish strong business relationships with employees, contractors, and vendors.
- Must have a valid drivers license and be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical and be able to attain a CDL.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Forklift Certification.
