Job Summary

To provide leadership regarding the development, implementation, and monitoring of system accessibility compliance and standards for digital accessibility. Serve as the system liaison to other state agencies, institutions, faculty, and staff in support of the creation and procurement of accessible materials used in course instruction and on public facing platforms.

Job Duties

30% - Serve as Title II liaison working with campus accessibility chairs and system office employees to develop and maintain accessibility standards, guidelines, and documentation to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., WCAG, ADA, Section 508). Coordinate regular accessibility chair meetings and coordinate system-wide accessibility projects. - (Essential) 20% - Serve as System liaison with community and technical college accessibility chairs. Coordinate training and other educational opportunities on related topics. - (Essential) 20% - Provide technical assistance to content managers at the System level to review and mitigate barriers to website accessibility of TBR and TCAT webpages, working in conjunction with the TBR System web developer. - (Essential) 15% - Responsible for the contract monitoring on behalf of System. Review the accessibility conformance of materials and technology on System level purchases, including contract renewals. - (Essential) 10% - Collect data on campus progress to meet accessibility standards and complete annual reporting, including annual accessibility audits. - (Essential) 5% - Other duties as assigned. - (Marginal)

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 4 years appropriate/relevant experience in disability services, digital accessibility, assistive technology, instructional design, or related field
• Training design and implementation experience
• Budget administration experience
• Program assessment experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• Experience in Student Support programming at a higher education institution

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to self-motivate and work independently
• A working familiarity with MS Office programs
