POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring the timely receiving, warehousing, inventory accuracy, picking, packing, shipping and delivery of Envision products. The warehouse manager also is accountable for instilling a culture of safety, manages costs, supports cost saving initiatives and identifies process improvements. The warehouse manager also ensures operational accountability and that productivity metrics are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE

Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Lead and provide direction to the warehouse and fulfillment employees on a daily basis. Comply with federal, state and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions. Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Oversee inventory control, ensuring inventories are conducted per company policy and accurate records are maintained in data management system. Conduct and document weekly cycle counts, seeks root cause and corrective action.Coordinate and manage inventory supplies to ensure minimum waste.Organize and implement workflow and processes for staff to improve efficiencies, productivity and customer service; follow up on work results.Interact with staff, key manufacturing personnel and management to prioritize workload and ensure daily company metrics are met.Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacements. Coordinate with Director of Supply Chain of any warehousing needs or operational needs.Develop and maintain written procedures for all warehouse operations.Maintain positive communication with customer service ensuring relevant information is processed timely and accurately.Ensure partnerships with freight representatives are developed and maintained, ensuring service and quality expectations are met consistently.Ensure OSHA compliance, establish safety practices and ensure that others adhere to policies, procedures, roles and regulations. Build and champion a culture of zero injury and illness. Educates and trains workforce in food safety fundamentals and completes safety and good manufacturing practices (GMP) audits.Achieve financial objectives by participating in the development of an annual expense budget, help identify scheduled expenditures and make cost-saving suggestions. Hire and supervise direct reports, providing guidance on day-to-day tasks, training, time management, employee evaluations and performance management. Nourish the culture of safety, inventory excellence, and customer service by ensuring that all team members are equipped with the requisite skills to be certain of success for themselves and the facility.Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on assigned tasks and the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintain compliance with established safety policies and procedures.Ability to train employees on powered industrial trucks (ie: stand up, sit down forklift, pallets jack, cherry picker)Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

Education: High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years warehouse experience, including 2 years of inventory control experience. Minimum of 3 years in management required.

Knowledge/Skills:

Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office Suite as well as inventory/warehouse management and distribution system. Strong leadership and influencing skills.Ability to coach, be a team leader and motivate subordinate staff. Possess critical thinking and complex problem solving skills. Root cause analysis mindset and/or facilitation experience.Must be able to multi-task and utilize resources to execute tasks while meeting deadlines. Must be able to communicate with all levels of external and internal customers and have strong communication both verbal and written.Ability to drive a forklift/stock picker. Ability to work varied hours.

Licenses/Certifications: Must possess a valid State of Texas Driver’s License.

Must maintain a current forklift certification.
