The Frederick National Laboratory is a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and operated by Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. The lab addresses some of the most urgent and intractable problems in the biomedical sciences in cancer and AIDS, drug development and first-in-human clinical trials, applications of nanotechnology in medicine, and rapid response to emerging threats of infectious diseases.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Contracts and Acquisitions (C&A) provides all purchasing, property accountability, subcontracting, receiving, warehousing, distribution, and transportation services for the Frederick National Laboratory (FNL).
KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Administers the company vehicle fleet policy. Oversees the administration of the policy to ensure the appropriate, efficient, and economical use of company-owned or company-leased vehicles. May become involved in one or more of the following: purchase and disposal of the vehicles, insurance administration, expense report administration, safety policy definition and communication of that policy, accident reviews, maintenance policy definition and administration, and interfacing with other departments in matters relating to the vehicle fleet policy. Primary point of contact for all vehicle fleet matters. May from time to time recommend change in the vehicle fleet policy to higher management. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may direct the work of other staff members. Responsible for driving to pick up and deliver government vehicles to customers. Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services and suggests variations in approach.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Possession of Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or four (4) years relevant experience in lieu of degree. Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency. In addition to the education requirement, a minimum of two (2) years of related experience is required. Must possess intermediate Microsoft Office and Excel skills. Ability to contribute to delivery of discipline / department goals through personal effort or through influence over team members. Ability to devise solutions based on limited information and uses experience, evaluation, and interpretation to identify solutions or to adapt existing approaches to resolve issues, which may impact the longer-term resolution of issues. Ability to solve complex problems, taking a new perspective using existing solutions. Ability to carry out a full range of professional duties, by working independently and receiving minimal guidance. Must have and maintain a valid State Driver's License with no more than 3 points as determined by the appropriate State Motor Vehicle. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
