Overview

Skylands Stadium is seeking a dynamic and experienced Stadium Concessions Manager to oversee all aspects of our concession operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing concession stands, ensuring exceptional service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of all concession stands within the stadium, ensuring efficient and effective service during events.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise concession staff, including cashiers, cooks, and servers. Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain inventory levels by ordering supplies, managing stock, and conducting regular inventory checks. Ensure all items are stored properly and meet safety standards.
  • Food Quality and Safety: Ensure all food and beverages are prepared and served according to health and safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness and compliance with health codes.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, track sales, and control costs to maximize profitability. Prepare financial reports and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing complaints and resolving issues promptly. Train staff to provide excellent customer service.
  • Menu Planning: Develop and update concession menus, considering customer preferences and seasonal items. Work with vendors to source quality products at competitive prices.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate with event organizers and stadium management to plan and execute concessions for various events, including games, concerts, and special events.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Implement marketing strategies to promote concession offerings. Develop special promotions and pricing strategies to boost sales.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to food service operations. Prepare and submit necessary reports to management and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a stadium or large event venue setting.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not mandatory.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control.
  • Food Safety: Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards. ServSafe certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
