The Long Island Nets are the wholly owned and operated NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets. As a direct affiliate of the NBA franchise, the Long Island Nets provide the organization with an avenue for player and staff development in a consistent environment. The Long Island Nets have called Nassau Coliseum home since 2017. The Nets Gaming Crew (NetsGC), the 2K League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, played its inaugural season in 2019 and practices at a customized training facility built inside Barclays Center.

SUMMARY

We are seeking an Account Manager, Partnership Marketing who will manage and grow a portfolio of partner accounts for BSE Global's Growth Properties (the Long Island Nets and NetsGC). The ideal candidate cares about the details and perfecting their craft, raises their hand to help teammates, and is a sponge when it comes to learning more about best-in-class activations and their partnersâ business and brand marketing efforts.

The Account Manager, Partnership Marketing reports directly to the Head of Business Operations for Long Island Nets.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Responsible for the management, maintenance, renewal, and growth of partner accounts, including the implementation of partnership assets, the creation and activation of promotions, oversight of hospitality packages, community programs, media, and signage.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for various accounts and initiatives.
  • Establish relationships with both sponsors and media partners.
  • Collaborate closely with the Partnership Development and Brand & Partner Solutions teams to ensure that inventory is accurately incorporated into renewal/upsell packages.
  • Develop, improve and renew partner relationships by going above and beyond all contractual deliverables, plus identifying and successfully pursuing opportunities to drive incremental value.
  • Present ideas and opportunities to help grow the business of each partner by keeping current with goals, objectives, and the competitive corporate landscape in the market regionally, nationally, and globally.
  • Partner with departments such as Game Presentation, Community Relations, and Ticketing on sponsored programs.
  • Attend Long Island Nets and NetsGC events to host sponsors and own the execution of in-arena promotions as well as support departmental events/functions.
  • Stay up to date with market trends; provide recommendations to department and applicable clients to ensure we are striving for continued success and maintaining a forward-thinking perspective.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelorâs degree required.
  • 2-4 years of partnership account management experience required.
  • Experience working in the sports industry is preferred. Agency experience a plus.
  • Proven record of hitting goals/budgets.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills required.
  • Proficiency with a CRM, such as Salesforce, is highly preferred.
