What will I do in this position if hired?

In this position, you will serve as the Recovery Front Office Integration Branch Chief.
Typical assignments include:
Directing the work of subordinate organizations and employees primarily consisting of analysts and advisors to management in evaluation of the productivity and efficiency of managed work. Studying, reviewing, and analyzing organization operations to determine current and future agency mission requirements. Overseeing the analysis and advice to management on the effectiveness of programs and operations and the productivity and efficiency of organization and resource utilization. Consulting with and providing senior management with updated doctrine related to strategic planning, preparation and submission of resource management plans, annual performance plans and reports, and FEMA's strategic plans. Making selections and/or approving selections of subordinate supervisory and non-­supervisory positions.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the GS-15 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS- level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:
Leading complex assignments related to qualitative and quantitative analytic studies for the purposes of data-driven operational decision making; AND Providing expert recommendations to senior leaders based on a thorough understanding of the agency's objectives and procedures; AND Supervising cross-functional teams of diverse skill sets and experience, developing staffing plans, assigning tasks, and monitoring work performance.
