Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Bar Admission in Tennessee (required).
  • At least 10 years of substantive experience in commercial real estate matters, including development, investment, financing, and leasing.
  • Experience in representing national retailers, lenders, developers, and private equity or institutional investors.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills are of the highest caliber.
  • Some small book of portable real estate or transaction business is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in a wide range of real estate transactions, including the acquisition, disposition, financing, development, and leasing of various asset classes.
  • Handle traditional real estate matters such as title and survey due diligence, the preparation and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, and real estate corporate governance (including joint ventures).
  • Provide lender representation in real estate finance transactions, offering counsel to national and institutional clients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm's national real estate platform to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
