The Director â Solutions Engineering is responsible for the strategic alignment, coordination, architecture, and implementation of assigned technology solutions for Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen (PLK) Americas. In this role you will be responsible with designing technical solutions shaping the strategic direction for Popeyes restaurants.
We are looking for a rockstar candidate, excited to help us drive new initiatives and innovations for our restaurants and our brand. A successful candidate partners with various teams in setting the direction and architecture of assigned restaurant technology initiatives. This role will be responsible for identifying not only project execution and guidance, but also technical and architectural solutions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Partnering with cross functional digital and technical teams to establish technology solutions for Popeyes restaurants.
- Manage vendors/partners to build and innovative and sustaining technology solutions with modern architecture.
- Leading assigned technology initiatives to ensure operational priorities are identified, validated, optimized, and communicated to various stakeholders including cross-functional team members, vendor partners, and field teams.
- Responsible for ensuring all technology communications are communicated at appropriate time, proper cadence, and include information necessary for training, support, etc.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
The most successful candidates will have:
- Bachelorâs or masterâs degree in computer science, MIS, related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of overall experience designing, developing, and supporting hardware, software, and network technology decisions.
- Experience leading technical staff in the design and implementation of technology solutions.
- Experience working with Restaurant Technology platforms such as POS, Labor Scheduling Tools, and Back of House
- Have current, working knowledge of the foodservice industry and current challenges.
- A relentless drive to innovate.
- Always operate with a sense of urgency
- Excellent written and verbal communication is required.
- Detail-orientated and hands-on
- A high comfort level of navigating emerging channels both within and outside of the technology space to identify how to improve our crew and customer experiences.
- Candidates with QSR experience will be prioritized.
