As a Google Development Lead you will report to our Chief Innovation Office working to drive Google media activation on Smartly via evangelization, education and enablement of the respective GTM teams.
The successful candidate will be a channel expert with the ability to identify new revenue opportunities, handle objections, and surface GTM intel. . You will play a key role in developing growth strategies and executing strategic projects with Google. You’ll be at the forefront of the fast-paced digital marketing industry, allowing you to continue to learn & develop at speed whilst also growing and nurturing your own annual target, managing exec-level relationships and scaling the operations of an ambitious growth company.
As a Google Development Lead at Smartly.io you will…
- Define and execute a business development strategy that leverages Smartly’s core ads products to deliver value to the respective partners ecosystem
- Drive interest & media investment in Google, unlocking value and work with sales teams to close partner-influenced deals
- Work with product and tech teams to prioritize platform-specific feature roll-outs, creating the business case and working with partners to maximize impact
- Build data-driven, scenario-based models to evaluate business impact of strategic and business development initiatives (e.g., platform expansions, co-marketing, etc.)
- Manage and grow credible senior relationships at and across Platforms to scale new business initiatives that drive future growth, expansion, and profitability
- Develop product integration strategies, lead cross-functional programs, and be responsible for wide-scale adoption of Smartly across Platforms
- Play a key role in moving the company strategy forward with our Platforms via an fluent understanding of other Smartly teams' connected strategies and goals
- Pursue new and creative ways to expand Smartly market share, identify new partnership opportunities, and capitalize on emerging trends across the Platforms
- Be relied on for independent strategic decisions and input
- Create and develop collateral materials including slides, one-pagers, and internal documents to support business initiatives and communication
- Be comfortable pitching in sales meetings and creating your own narrative too
We are looking for you if you have…
- 10+ years of experience managing partnerships and/or business development efforts
- Previous experience of working Google, as well as strong knowledge of the ad-tech
- Demonstrated success negotiating enterprise-level business terms with partners
- A strong sense of urgency around delivering on team and individual projects.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills with the ability to build materials and present findings effectively at the executive management level
- Successful track record in identifying, engaging and driving innovative integrations
- A demonstrated ability to evangelize and influence across all levels of an organization
- Owned outright or significantly contributed to a large P&L in a growth business
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, MBA preferred
