The Opportunity

This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. As a Pricing Specialist, you will assist with the administration of contracts and compliance in support of National and Major retail and pharmacy accounts.⯠This role is responsible for analyzing data and reporting on monthly rebate actuals, trends, and month over month comparisons utilizing Model N and SAP. Additionally, this position will interface with customers, sales, and other internal support functions to ensure consistency and understand their business needs.  This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.

What You'll Do

  • Primarily responsible for contract administrative tasks related to Managed Care Contracts.  
  • Process administrative contract transactions across major retail and pharmacy accounts and ensure accuracy of calculations and payments within contractual terms and conditions and timely monthly submission of rebate payments to customers.
  • Support the sales force as it relates to contract rebate utilization / channel inquiries;  evaluate and monitor contract rebate performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and determine action to rectify contract non-compliance and make needed adjustments to pricing calculations.
  • Interface with other functional groups to ensure consistency and integrity in rebate processing and administrative updates;
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and performing other tactical duties as assigned by management.

Experience You'll Bring

Required

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Business
  • 0-2 years of related work experience equivalent in finance, pricing, or analyst role.
  • Ability to apply concepts, practices and procedures to resolve problems.

  • Ability to work independently and in groups; work cross-functionally to accomplish goals;

  • Ability to prioritize and think analytically, critically and problem-solve.

  • Problem resolution skills

  • Ability to consistently provide clear and concise written and verbal  communications, good presentation skills;

  • Understanding of the organizationâs strategy and how day-to-day activities support this strategy;

The base pay for this position is $55,200.00 â $110,400.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
