Position Overview

This position is a key member of the Food Team with responsibility for maintaining food safety technology systems currently in place and bringing further enhancements through innovation.  Focus includes analysis of data along with recommendations that will move food safety and sanitation forward.  Essential functions include but are not limited to the following.

Responsibilities

  • Work with IT to develop Business Intelligence (Power BI) information that will use multiple attributes to identify restaurants that need additional focus
  • Manage temperature monitoring system for restaurants to ensure system is running properly and assist in resolving issues. On-board NSO, and other restaurant requests, with current temperature monitoring technologies including digital cooling
  • Manage Digital Taste and Temp to include, but not limited to, on-boarding of new restaurants; updating Taste and Temp questions and QI’s; develop corrective actions; troubleshoot technical issues for restaurants; create training materials; and conduct webinars
  • Research new technologies in Food Safety that will help support and simplify the needs of our Operators. This will include the establishment of a “one stop” dashboard for our Operators. In addition, use the system to provide key food safety and other critical data that will protect our Brand.  Partner with other Departments to use this technology to enhance their systems
  • Work with our chosen vendor partner to maintain the FDA required traceability of key food products.  Work to expand the traceability beyond the required food products to other food products that will enhance our food safety and quality assurance systems
  • Partner with our supplier vendor (CMX) to maintain current food safety documentation and approvals for Vendor Partners and new and existing food products
  • Play a lead role in working with the current Product Quality Feedback (PQF) information while developing the next level systems that will simplify the process for Operators while providing timely information that can be used in decisions
  • Work with Food Team members to assist in nutritional or product lab work that needs to be conducted – including collection of samples. Maintain critical allergen information that will feed into our guest facing allergen apps
  • Work with our Procurement team to establish and maintain a tracking system of all products received by the Food Team and Procurement
  • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree; or Associate’s degree plus two years of computer/food safety experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
    • Previous Food Safety/Supply Chain experience a plus
    • Word, Outlook, Excel skills required
    • Proficient in dashboard, report creation and Power BI
    • General knowledge of database functions and project management preferred
    • Azure, Chirp Stack Technology and PQF experience a plus
