Claims Supervisor, Material Damage

A Claims Supervisor – Material Damage is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of a team claims professionals/specialists responsible for the management, investigation, and resolution of claims, ensuring a high-quality work product, while continuously developing talent. The Claims Supervisor promotes a culture of accountability, compliance, professionalism, integrity, and customer service excellence. They must possess strong critical thinking, conflict management, and time management skills.
What You’ll Do- Leads and monitors work of a team of appraisers, ensuring compliance with internal repair guidelines and procedures. Manages service levels and organizes workflow to ensure efficiency and productivity
- Resolves customer and/or body shop complaints and escalations as well as identifies/removes barriers and obstacles for others through their influence and collaboration, both internally and externally
- Promotes a culture of open feedback, continuous improvement, and a commitment to identifying process efficiencies to drive profitability
- Contributes to employee development through coaching and development of technical competencies required for an appraiser
- Provide guidance to team, such as liability determination, investigation, policy interpretation, settlement negotiations and establishing reserves for claims
- Additional duties as assigned
- 5+ years directly related work experience
- Material Damage or Property Damage experience preferred
- Exceptional negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Detail oriented
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize work in a fast paced environment
- Bachelor's degree preferred
