What to Expect

A Claims Supervisor – Material Damage is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of a team claims professionals/specialists responsible for the management, investigation, and resolution of claims, ensuring a high-quality work product, while continuously developing talent. The Claims Supervisor promotes a culture of accountability, compliance, professionalism, integrity, and customer service excellence. They must possess strong critical thinking, conflict management, and time management skills. 

What You’ll Do
  • Leads and monitors work of a team of appraisers, ensuring compliance with internal repair guidelines and procedures. Manages service levels and organizes workflow to ensure efficiency and productivity
  • Resolves customer and/or body shop complaints and escalations as well as identifies/removes barriers and obstacles for others through their influence and collaboration, both internally and externally
  • Promotes a culture of open feedback, continuous improvement, and a commitment to identifying process efficiencies to drive profitability
  • Contributes to employee development through coaching and development of technical competencies required for an appraiser
  • Provide guidance to team, such as liability determination, investigation, policy interpretation, settlement negotiations and establishing reserves for claims
  • Additional duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years directly related work experience
  • Material Damage or Property Damage experience preferred
  • Exceptional negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize work in a fast paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
